Who we are
Casa Hogar Santa Eduwiges was founded on February 4, 1962, in the city of Los Mochis, thanks to the vision of Father Rafael Sánchez Gutiérrez and the committed support of a group of selfless citizens. Since then, more than a thousand children have been welcomed, accompanied, and transformed by this noble institution.
For more than six decades, the Casa Hogar (Home for the Children) was staffed by dedicated nuns who were responsible for the care, education, and overall development of the children. Today, this work continues under the active board of trustees, in coordination with a team of nearly 30 collaborators, including operational and administrative staff and volunteers, who work daily to meet the children's needs with dignity and care.
Our commitment is to provide a better life opportunity for at-risk children and adolescents in the city of Los Mochis and northern Sinaloa. We work with professionalism, dedication, and care to ensure that each child receives the care, attention, and education they need to fully develop.
Through the coordinated efforts of our board of trustees, operational team, and volunteers, we seek to offer them a safe and caring environment where they can build a dignified and hopeful future.
